WorkOut Wednesday//Slim Sixty

Hey ya'll!

I'm back for WorkOut Wednesday with Skinny Meg AKA PregMeg 

AND

Guess what???

I've done it, finally!

Sixty Pounds GONEEEE since January 1, 2013.

I'm feeling FABULOUS!!


Here is February 1 2013 til the other day.
6 months and a few days and 60lbs later. Damn it feels good to be a gangster.

I'm sticking with Jillian Michaels, doing her 30 day shred Video 3 days a week to keep up with toning. She really toned me up fast. See my results HERE.

I go Friday or Saturday to a place here in town to pick out my tire.
Yeah you heard me right, a tire.
I'm going to start tire flipping for crossfit training for my body.
Hey, I'm always a work in progress. :D

Does anyone out there do tire flipping??
Tips, workouts??

A coworker of mine has recently lost 22lbs over the last 2 1/2 months and she says I inspired her. Gah. I'm so proud of her, whether I inspired her or not. I'm proud shes happy and losing the weight she wants to. Its so funny to be called an inspiration, I never thought that I would be one. It actually feels kind of like a honor.. :)

Incase anyone hasn't been with me. I've lost all my weight with no gym membership or anything. I work out at home, and I researched eating healthy and just jumped on the bandwagon. I have a quote that pretty much sums up how I feel..

"Actually, I just woke up one day and decided That I didn't want to feel like that anymore, or ever again. So I changed. Just like that. " - Unknown

We were recently on a small vacation for our anniversary and I utilized the hotel gym. For real if your serious about getting in shape then there is no full vacation from working out. You may take it easy or take a day off but I guarantee all those fitness head's out there get in a workout of some kind. I hit the hotel gym and I brought along to free weights and did my normal evening routine while the hubby showered. I took it easy though, didn't go as hard or long, but I felt good doing something. Also since we were eating out a lot, I make sure that every time we eat out that after we eat, we go walk around a store, mall or park for a good thirty minutes before just sitting around. 

How do you sneak in workouts on vacation??

Since were back home I'm kicking up my clean eating, does anyone have some great clean recipes they'd like to share with me??

Keep an eye out, I ordered some new products from Walden Farms (calorie free foods) will be doing a review as soon as they get here. My Birchbox is shipped so it will be here soon for the monthly BirchBox post and I think I'm going to order me a Garmin Forerunner 10

    your quote is identical to what i thought on January 1 this year. I am down 35 pounds and did it by walking and eating right. I just woke up and said this sucks and I am going to do something about it.

    I am going to take a look at the 30 day shred video. I need to start toning.

  4. You must be so proud of yourself! Your blog is cute and so are you, I can say that b/c I'm 40.

    I'm on my 4th week of my "own" couch-5k program and can't believe I'm running. When I do make it to a 5k I'll probably be in tears as well. Seriously I'm the world's worst runner and I already feel like Rocky at the top of the steps just doing 4 min intervals (sorry if you don't get this reference, again the age thing).

    Found you from Skinny Meg, you perky girls stick together, don't you? ;)

    1. Haha, I guess! Hey I get the reference, I may be young but I like a lot of "older" movies and so on. And yeah I totally get the rocky feeling too! I just have mini parties in the road and people stare but hey I'm rocking it so who cares!

  5. that is amazing! I am doing a Rippedin30 challenge right now with some friends. I've already done it 6x and already it seems so much easier than the first day. the first day is killer! you look great!!

  6. You are looking wonderful! One of my favorite easy meals is to cook some 93/7 Ground Turkey with low sodium taco seasoning. I measure out 4 ounces after cooked and put in seperate containers (you can also freeze and use when needed). You can make a taco salad with lettuce or spinach, black bean and corn salsa and add 1/4 to 1/2 of a baked sweet potato to it. If you need to spice it up some more...just pour salsa on top. I have this at least a couple of times a week but I love Mexican food. Let me know if you need the recipe for the Black Bean and Corn Salsa. I've got many good recipes if you need them...this was just an easy tasty one I ate today.

  7. Just found your blog via SkinnyMeg, you are doing fabulous! I lost 30 lbs last fall then got pregnant. Now, one week out from having the baby I'm full-bore clean eating again and just browsing for inspiration. YOU are proof that it can be done fast with the effort and the right diet. Congrats! I am so impressed.

    Today for lunch I made clean and healthy "chicken salad" for the first time. Chopped up chicken breast, non-fat greek yogurt, chopped onions and celery, garlic salt and chopped avocado. Yummy with whole-grain pita chips we found at Costco last week.
