Life Lessons and Rules to Live By

Happy New Years ladies!!!!

Holy crap, I haven't blogged since last year!

Oh come on, you knew that was coming..

Now..

Wipe the puke off your face and choke down some aspirin for that hangover!! It's okay, you've got a year for it to wear off and then you can go hard again next year!

So the hubs and I are lame. We're the oldest youngin's you'll ever meet. He played xbox, I went to the gym we watched movies and went to sleep! Who ah!!! Call out the party police, buck wild up in here!!

How'd you bring in the New Year?!

So this is the time of year where everyone makes resolutions, to do this, that and the other. Many make it a few days, some make it a few weeks, and a few make it all year.

I'm one of the few. I made my resolution to get fit, healthy and run a 5K and I made that and more happen!!! If you've read my blog, you know that already, if not, click that Weight Loss tab at the top and get to know me!!

I learned a lot this year, and I'm gonna share some of the biggins with you.

People Will Judge You, Big or Small.

When I was bigger, people whispered, stared, pointed and made comments. Now that I'm smaller, all the same still happen. Its important to remember that we don't know each others stories or what each of us have been through. People who knew me when I was bigger assume I have no life and live at the gym and only eat celery. Those that don't know me, assume I've always been this size and I eat what I want and lay around all day. That is just a pipe dream for this girl!
I will never forget when the hubs and I were at Walmart and two college age girls who were bigger than me, where looking at the movies as I was, I heard them "whisper" "god she should try eating sometime" "ha, yeah then maybe she'd have an ass to fill out those shorts". EXCUSE ME!?! Like come on! I don't even look anorexic! And they had NO idea what I'd been through, they judged me just to judge me.

Whether You Think You Can or You Can't- Your Right.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Positive thinking, thats all it takes. Your body is completely capable of anything and everything you could ever imagine. You just have to set your mind to it. If you tell your body you can do something, you'll do it. If you tell yourself you can't, you won't do it. The voice that tells you to stop, that its to hard, that you can't do it? Thats your body lying. Your brain thinks its impossible because you never tried and society isn't as active as it used to be. Don't stop trying, start doing. Remember every single pro walked between miles and lifted 5lbs or a bare bar.

Love Yourself First

In order to make any lifestyle change successful, you have to learn to love yourself first. Once you accept yourself and your body things start to fall into place, when you find things to love about your body, others will love you and your body too.
This is the only body you got and you are stuck with that. You can make that a blessing or burden. I know you want to make that a positive, and I know you can. So go out love yourself and show everyone what there missing!

You Find Out Who Your Real Friends Are

When you change things in your life, sometimes friends are changed too. You have those true friends who support you a hundred and ten percent and those who are the "in the moment" friends. They are the ones who are unsupportive and try to bring you down. But don't worry, if you lose some people because they can't handle that you are trying to make your life the best it can be. Then SCREW EM! You don't need them anyways! Through your journey you'll meet new people who share your same goals and are supportive. I've met incredible people through my blog and am so happy that I'm able to connect with them!

After this year being so great, I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for me!

Life changes and you have to roll with the punches, don't let them keep you down, let them make you stronger!!

Start this year out great! I hope you all have a fabulous day!!
Let this year be freakin awesome!!!!

PS- Seahawks are Champs and Im feeling the road to the Super Bowl is going to be our next turn off!

Have a great day ladies!

  1. I love the "love yourself first" quote/picture. I was home by 11 and playing monopoly on NYE, there's no shame in being lame!
