Motivation-Meet Me Monday Mash Up

Hello Wisconsin!

Or wherever you are

It's everyones favorite day again!

Well it doesn't bother me cause I start my week on Sunday's so I'm already back in the swing. But I have been KILLER busy. I worked 11.5 hours today like a champ. Gotta make the public happy! And I'm going to use this to make a valid point to the whiners out there, that " don't have time ". Well kiddo's I worked 11.5 hours, worked out for a little over an hour, made supper, packed the hubs and I's lunches for work, did the dishes, folded laundry, picked up the house, showered, wrote this post and still had time to kick it old school, YO.

What's your excuse again?

Does anyone else wake up in the morning and stumble out of bed walking like a drunken baby giraffe in high heels, or is it just me?

crickets

It's just me.

Well grab your cup of coffee, or whatever your morning caffeine drug of choice is and pull up a seat! I'm going to start up a new thing for Mondays, well most Mondays: Motivation-Meet Me Monday Mash Up.

Say that three times fast.

It's where I'm going to throw out some fitness tid bits, motivation picture/quotes and just some random tidily winks to help all ya'll get to know me a bit better. Feel free to do your own post like this and comment or email me the link, I'd LOVE to get to know more of you better! I for real love connecting with all of you!

Thats why I love my Instagram!

Here.we.go.

Boom.

I'm in love with these jeans, mainly because it's the smallest size I've owned since like Jr High....
I feel FIERCE! haha.

This girl right here "tried" to lose weight for the wedding. That girl tried Body By Vi- doesn't work when you have the meal REPLACEMENT shake as a dessert...she tried Insanity and started 6-7 times and never finished the first week and cheated on half the video anyways. That girl is gone though! The girl who works her ass off to be fit and healthy has gladly taken her place.

I don't drink soda or sugary drinks in general or alcohol...weird I know, I just don't really care for the taste.. This is what my drinking consists of water, Spark, Mio, Rehydrate, Meal Replacement shakes (used properly now!), peppermint tea, regular tea and on occasion skim milk/almond milk/soy milk which ever one sounds good during the shopping experience.

Random Fact. I have an obsession with a good smelling house. I love Scentsy, candles, febreeze, those cinnamon pinecones at christmas..My house always smells like you imagine a house in the magazine would...now if I could only get it to look like one...

I'm in LOVE with my guns arm muscles right now. Prepare for some serious flexin' outside of flex it Friday. I don't know if I can contain myself to one day a week of flexing...

Oh yeah this girl Started WEEK 2 of a Shaun T program (T25) And she is not half ass-ing any minute of it! BOOM. Pretty damn proud.

For extra motivation I keep quotes as my lock screen on my phone so everytime I see my phone I'm reminded to spit out the cupcake. Nah just kidding I wouldn't spit out cupcake, that'd be wasting...
But it does help to remind me to stay on track.

Asic Gel Noosa Tri 8's are the shoe of choice in this household. I have 2 pairs and the hubby has one. I will be getting another pair before the end of the year...I like to retire them before they are worn out so I always have a back up pair. These are seriously the most comfortable shoes I have ever ran in. Although I want to get a pair of somethings just for some average day tennis shoes vs wearing out my expensive runners...I'm weird, I know.

Any recommendations on some average priced, comfortable cross trainers?

I could eat my weight in fresh garden salad. I don't put cheese or dressing on my salad, instead I use low fat cottage cheese!

Favorite salad topping?

These are my top 5 workout songs at the moment. They make me want to push harder!!!
What song gets you up and going??

Victoria's Secret is a weakness. I love their beauty products, especially their lotions!!

I don't use a gym. This right here is my gym. That and any piece of furniture I can use...

This is our only child. She is 10lbs of pure cuteness and thinks she's human. Yeah she takes showers, she sits at the table and will eat off of a plate, and sleeps with her head on a pillow and body under covers.. Taking her on a mile walk every night is what I do for a cool down.

This right here, I LOVE. Who doesn't want to hear that!!?!?!?

How are you motivating yourself this Monday??

PS- Make sure you get your entries in for The Fall Favorites Giveaway and The Cyclone Cup Giveaway also be sure to be checking instagram today I'm going to be throwing out opportunities for extra entries!

As always

Thick Thursday Throwback-- Being Big and Emotional Eating..

A lot of you have been asking lately, how I was when I was bigger, what daily routine was like back then. How I got started and how I stay motivated.

As yooouuuu wiiiisssssshhhh.

Anyone? Anyone??

Princess Bride, c'mon.

Not to long ago I did a nice juicy post about how I got bigger and how I decided to change, to see that go HERE. To see my breaking points, the things that really struck home with me and made me want to change go HERE

I'm getting more and more comfortable sharing more and more details about the old me and old habits. You wanted it and your going to get it.

Everyone has this misconception that I changed overnight, eating healthy came easy to me and that making time to do food prep and exercise  just naturally fell into my lap.

WRONG

I have worked hard. I have failed but I have picked myself back up again. I have struggled. I STILL struggle.

I want to eat like shit and not have to worry.

I can't do that though.

Not to look how I want to look.

Fit and healthy.

I used to be secret eater. I would eat what I ate in front of people, then eat large amounts of food behind closed doors and hide the evidence.

It was bad.

I would run to WalMart to get whatever while the hub was at home, those cheesecake samplers? Yeah I'd buy one of those and shovel it down on the drive home and throw the trash out on the way. I'd get home and a few hours later the hubs would want supper and me being lazy would bribe him with the treat of takeout, I'd lie about the length of time It'd take to cook something so he'd be more driven to go to the drive through. We'd hit up McDonalds, I'd get a Large Big Mac Meal and soda. Yeah Id throw that back after eating a cheesecake.

I told you I was pathetic.

It gets worse.

I'd get off work before he got home and go through Sonic and get Mozzarella sticks, cheddar bites and a frappe. I'd go park beside the park and shovel it down, then drive home like nothing happened. He'd get home and want supper, so I threw some plastic bullshit in the oven. We'd eat some shitty high calorie frozen meal and then I would lay around on the couch all night.

I was OUT OF CONTROL.

Why I ate like that I have no idea, but obviously I knew it was wrong because I was hiding it.

One time he went to a meeting for work so I was left by myself for supper, I ordered one of those dinner boxes from Pizza Hut, it had the pizza, breadsticks and the choco dunkers it it. I'd eat the whole damn thing and wash it down with the big bag of sour patch kids and chocolate milk, all while laying in front of the tv.

I'd lie to myself that I'd go for a five minute walk and that would make it better, I'd make excuses as to why I NEEDED to eat that shit.

I was/am an emotional eater. I ate my feelings, every last one of them, hell I ate anyones feelings. Worse yet, I didn't move. I sat around on the couch or laid there for hours on hours on end. Walking up a flight of stairs winded me. Hell walking to the fridge winded me.

To eat how I eat now, takes ever fiber of my being to maintain my self control. I had to relearn portion sizes and caloric intake. I struggle at every meal, because I'm full, but I think I WANT to eat that candy bar or hell what ever I can see. But now I KNOW better. I tell myself I DONT NEED  it and I walk away or I step on it or throw it away. At work I was about to cave and go after a candy bar someone left behind but at the last second, I threw it on the ground stepped on it and tossed it in the trash. I felt so empowered by that. I walked away and the "hunger" left.

Yes I still have "cheat days" I enjoy the not so good things every now and then, but I'm working on control. I will ALWAYS be working on control. I think to myself about how I was back then and I know I don't want to go back to that.

When I'm craving shit food and want to eat the whole kitchen and anyone who stands in my way, I go do a quick workout or go for  little run. It eases my mind and makes me remember why I love being healthy now.

EVER.

One time I had to make a cake for something at work and I actually made two...hell I didn't even make the second one. While the first was cooking I ate the batter for the second one and then spoonful by spoonful I ate the icing. I was eating AT LEAST 5 times the amount of calories then than I eat now. I eat the recommended calories now. I was keeping myself fat and didn't realize it.

I was always in denial, and I lied to myself.

I'd start a "diet" for a few days, then see no movement on the scale and then I'd bound into the kitchen and drown my sorrows in a box of mac and cheese and a few hot dogs.

Thinking back to how I ate then, makes me sick.

I was severely harming myself.

I was putting myself at risk for a countless number of diseases and health risks...it really  was just sad and pathetic...

Now when I don't see the number on the scale move, I take a deep breath, step back, and go stand in front of the mirror. I stare at myself and point out the changes and compliment myself. I also take a TON of pictures. Pictures don't lie, they let me see the progress. I only lost a few pounds last month, but the inches I lost according to the pictures was astounding. I remind myself daily that muscle weighs more than fat just takes up less space, then I look up motivational quotes and that usually calms my mind and I'm able to move on.

Don't let yourself get discouraged so easily, don't be so hard on yourself. You are making progress each day. One bad day doesn't define you. It DOESN'T undo all of your hard work, take a deep breath and start fresh the next morning. You WILL bounce back and be fine.

Progress NOT perfection.

Its hard. I understand.

Find some one to talk to when your feeling low, don't have anyone? Email me, I'm here for you guys. That was my whole goal with this blog. Not only accountability for myself but to help and inspire at least one other person. Because I had no one to go to in my darkest days of weight. I want to help people so they can feel the success and pride that I do.

For some straight out "tips" go HERE. If you want personalized help with a particular problem you are having, email me! I'll help you figure out a solution.
Easy as pie,
but not pie, cause pie isn't good for you....unless its cheat day or a holiday, then it doesn't count right?

I do my best to eat well and workout daily. But I still fall off the wagon and I forget how far I have come. I have to remind myself daily that I have made leaps and bounds and no longer let fat define who I am.

Here are some great before and afters for you that will show you anything is possible. I mean I freaking did/do it. So can you. I ate an entire cheesecake with my hand in a car while driving and I can make the progress, SO CAN YOU!

February 2013 - September 1 2013

June 2012 - August 2013

July 2012 - August 2013

Candid photos always show what I would work so hard to hide. And on my wedding days of all days the saying "what you eat in private you wear in public" rang true.

Just because I hid what I ate, didn't make not gain anything..

I need to see these things, I need to remember why I started and why I work hard every day to be the best me I can be.

And for those wondering I'm down around 66 pounds since I started my journey on 1-1-13, I have achieved more than I ever fathomed possible.

It just goes to prove, anything is possible, you just have to really want it and stop making excuses!

It'll be worth it a year from now when you look back and instead of wishing you started your admiring your progress!

Hopefully this answered a bunch of your questions, as always if you have more questions or want to know something, ask!

August Results, Focus T25 & Cyclone Cup Giveaway! {{WOW Linkup}}

Hey ya'll!!

Happy Wednesday!

Whoot whoot! The short work is half way over!

Linking up, of course with Skinny Meg for Workout Wednesday

If any of you actually follow me and pay any lick of attention, you know that last month in August I did a personal challenge I called "Give It Your All August" where I wanted to buckle down, reboot and reset. My eating habits had began slipping, my lack of focus and so on in July was just pathetic, I was pretty disapointed with myself cause well, I knew better. So I did the Advocare 10 Day Cleanse, began using Spark! and MNS Max3 and did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred again for the second time in hopes to really kick ass. With the cleanse I followed it to a T no dairy, table sugar, or bread, not a single luxury like Robinson Crusoe , as primitive as can be... *side note* I freaking love Gilligan's Island and would litteraly sneakily get up after 10p, when I was little to watch it on Nick @ Nite and if I heard my parents comming I'd snap the TV off and fake sleep...* And ever since the amount of those things I eat has decreased INCREDIBLY! I'm actually pretty dang shocked...

ANYWHO
You can see more about my GIYAA HERE. For my cleanse results go HERE and to see my first round of Jillian 30DS results go HERE.

As for my results for this round:

Day 1--Day 30

The Top is my first round of 30DS in June and then Now.
As for poundage lost, it wasn't a lot, but I've been gaining a lot more muscle and getting quite a bit of tone so I'm by no means disappointed, because the pictures done lie...there was some serious changes going down.
So overall I'm pretty impressed with my August results.
After sampling some Advocare products I've became pretty impressed with their products and decided to throw some in over the next 50 days as I embark on my next personal challenge, Sexy in September and Oh baby October ( my birthday month- WOOT WOOT). I really like setting myself up with personal challenges each month, even if Im the only one participating in them because I feel like short term goals are always so much easier to work towards and really achieve, and its always fun to switch it up and try new things along with your everyday flow.

What am I doing over the next 50 days? Why 50 Days?

I started Shaun T's Focus T25, a fifty day program, that is only 25 minutes long, 6 days a week. I can handle that. When I was at my biggest and before I started even thinking about REALLY buckling down, I started Insanity like 7 times, I kid you not, and never made it past the first week.

I was such a freaking quitter.

I don't know why it never worked for me, but I'm determined to fully finish this program as like a Vendetta to prove to my inner self that I really have changed for the better.

Old habits die hard and I'm going to freaking murder this one!

Along with T25, I'm doing my own "meal plan" I never follow programs plans because I just do my normal thaaang.

So I'm taking the Advocare MNS Max3 again, drinking Spark, Rehydrate and have the meal replacement shakes on hand for the days I'm not feeling like eating a whole lot but know I need to kinda things.

In November my momma and I are going to do the 24 day challenge, cause after my birthday month, halloween and the onset of Thanksgiving I NEEED to be in the best mind set I can be!

Whats your favorite halloween candy?

I love freaking Dots..and Now and Laters, and Gobstoppers and Nerds and M&N's...who the hell am I kidding, I like effing candy in general...

I'm really like the T25 so far, and 25 minutes a day is so do-able.
Whats your favorite workout program/dvd??

Do you have a favorite Advocare product?
Now for some pure AWESOMENESS.

I go me this new awesome and hot pink shaker cup called The Cyclone Cup. Check this mother effer out! So It has a funnel like "blender" in the lid that doesn't move, unlike the whisk ball that runs with the chunks vs mixing it. This funnel actually blends up the powder.

The best part???

The bottom screws off for storage!!!

Uhm yeah thats right!
I LOVE that I can make one drink and throw the powder in the storage compartment and take the cup with me to work or on the road to wherever we are going and make my drink whenever I want. It is SO HANDY, freaking genius.
For real.

Cool you have an awesome cup and you're rubbing it in our face you jerk...

WAIT, It gets better...

Cyclone Cup sent me a cup to GIVEAWAY to one of my readers!!!!!!!!!

Lucky duckies!!!

So Boom!

Enter away, check them out and drool over there awesomeness!!

What are your goals for this fall?

I want to:
-trim and firm
-lose at least 10 more pounds
-actually finish a Shaun T program
-continue to keep up my good eating habits
-stay motivated and focused

As always,

Music & Motivation Monday!

Hey, hey, hey!!

Its Monday again and hopefully ya'll aren't dreading it today since its a holiday. I am lucky enough to have it off thank baby Jesus. It's been a busy last week.

So a little recap for ya like you care. This weekend the hubs and I went shopping, well light shopping. I just need a few new items. The freaking washer/dryer, one of them, ate ANOTHER one of my bra's so this girl needed a new boobie trap. Victoria's Secret here I come.  It must have been a sign or something because I need a new sizing anyway, weight loss has changed me duh it has  I also needed a new pair of yoga's because well none of mine fit any more womp womp wommm. So as I was making my way to the check out, I hate being in there to long with hubster with me cause I feel like its torturing him, I saw a bunch of perfumes on sale and I pointed at one I used to wear and just said I used to love that stuff.  The cutest thing happened next. Are you ready for this? The hubs snuck a bottle of that perfume to the cashier while I was digging out my debit card and by the time I looked up she was smiling all big like at me and we were walking out of the store I went to shove the receipt in the bag and I saw it. Made my day, it was just a sweet gesture and reminds me of how much I love that guy.

Does your love still do sweet stuff for you?

I went around the mall and got what else I needed and blah blah blah. Then the best part of the day, cheat meal. Efff ya! I had me a nice big bowl of fro yo and toppings. I moaned and savored with each and every last bite. Damn it was freaking delicious. I could take a dip in a giant vat of fro yo....no one would want to see that though, it would be an ugly x rated site....  Next we were off for the regular grocery shopping. This time it was differnet, for some odd reason the hubs decided he no longer wants ANY pre-made plastic like frozen meals  or anything along those lines for his work lunches, so now I'm food preppin' for two. I have decided to dedicate Labor Day to laboring over food prep. Bring it on. Boom. I'm going to kill it. The hubs has to work sadly enough so one of my absolute best friends, Gabby is going to come hang out and help with it and keep me entertained. For real we go back to the 3rd grade, and we always have a good time even if were just cooking. End of recap.

Now for some motivaaatiiioooonnnn

Now I was so so SO excited to drop a few more jean sizes. When I was at my biggest I was murdering the 33's now I'm flaunting it in the 28's & 29's!!!! That shirt there? It's a medium.. BOO-YA!

Am I the only one who takes pictures in the dressing rooms?

I'm really loving these quotes right now. I'm actually considering getting the first as a tattoo...just don't know where to put it... hmmmm. I love me some tattoos.

What's your favorite tattoo? Whats on your tattoo wish list?

I was feeling like running the other night, I had just downloaded new music so of course I needed to run to listen to it...

I decided to do a full 3.1 miles since I have a timed 5K coming up in October on my birthday weekend. Yeah I'm running a 5K for my birthday... I'm going to run it with an old friend I haven't seen for YEARS. It's going to be a blast-y blast.

So I set out, and when my Garmin went off for my 2 mile marker I saw the time flash 18 minutes. I was like holy hell, I haven't ran that fast before. I felt like was in the Matrix and running in slow-mo. I was bad and hadn't ran a full 3.1 since August 1, yeah yeah shame on me. So I had all intentions of this run sucking. I saw that 18 minutes and new I had to power through.
And I did

I ran that mo fo in 28:50.8... my last one was 34.50.2..

SIX MINUTES

I shaved off six freaking minutes, I started to cry a bit. I couldn't help it. I felt so good, so accomplished... It was a good day...then my quad seized up and it started pouring rain, so I gimped over to a tree, called the hubster to come get me and hid from the storm.
No I'm not a big baby but I mean it was that hard pouring painful rain and crazy thunder and lightening and I was a little ways from home and the bum leg was all just working against me.

Ice bath and epson salt bath and a little advocare rehydrate and I was back to good.

Heres all the new music I'm rocking out to during workouts:

1. We Can't Stop - Miley Cyrus
2. Roar - Katy Perry
3. Swagger Jagger - Cher Lloyd
4. Applause - Lady Gaga
5. Wrecking Ball - Miley Cyrus
6. Royals - Lorde
7. Berzerk - Eminem
8. Best Song Ever - One Direction
9. Acapella - Karmin
10. Turn The Night Up - Enrique Iglesias
11. Like a Champion - Selena Gomez

What is/were your Labor Day plans?
